​The Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University is one of the largest and most famous rare book libraries in the world. However, an interesting feature is that it has a structure made entirely of glass. Although the Beinecke Library looks like giant glass boxes from the outside, it is actually a place that has a special atmosphere for the preservation of rare books. The glass structure protects the books from harmful sun rays and controls the amount of light inside. In addition, this glass structure provides library users with a comfortable environment while working indoors by filtering the light from outside.
