The information that Spider Web is 5 times stronger than Steel is often used as a misconception. This statement does not reflect the truth.

In reality, spider web is not stronger than steel. Spider web is incredibly durable and may be more durable by weight than steel, but that doesn't mean steel is weaker with the same amount of weight. Steel is a material with a higher density and a higher strength than spider web.
