Humps: The humps on the backs of camels represent fat stores. These fat stores are used to provide energy. When the camel is dehydrated or food is not available, it helps to survive by using the fat stores in its body.

Good dietary adaptation: Camels have developed a special digestive system to digest the hard vegetation found in deserts. Specialized bacteria in the stomach digest tough plant materials, allowing them to obtain valuable nutrients.

Social structure: Camels are social animals and usually live in herds. The herds come together for protection, feeding and mating. Camels use various sounds, body movements and scent secretions to communicate with each other.
